The Norfolk and Norwich Festival just gets bigger and bigger. This year’s cultural jamboree kicks off on May 6 and features a host of artists from around the globe with high quality and innovative music, theatre, visual arts and family events. The festival is gaining a reputation for its courageous programme and this year is no exception. Highlights include:
The Graeae Theatre Company’s The Iron Man. Paul Sirett has adapted Ted Hughes’s classic novella for the deaf and disabled ensemble, who use puppets to tell the story.
A group of Year 7 pupils from Norwich’s City Academy will turn critics on May 21 – being chauffeur-driven around festival events to judge the events. If you dare, go to the glittering Awards Ceremony in the evening at the Playhouse to hear their verdicts.
Finally Artichoke invite you to a magical evening at Elsing Hall near Dereham for Dining with Alice, which transports diners to the world of Alice in Wonderland.
